The Quiet of Tesenimi

Tesemini or Lake of the Spirits lies in northern Idaho and home to the Kootenai Indians. One legend has it that a chief’s daughter ran off with a young brave. In an effort not to be found, the brave carried her into the lake, never to be seen again. The belief is that they were taken by the spirits of the lake.
